The ProComp Lyte Void

Most comfortable Gi ever!

I was skeptical but after owning one this is by far the most comfortable gi I’ve ever worn. Fit feels tailored, nice and soft yet durable. Buying a few more of these when they are back in stock in my size.

Disappointed

I own 6 Hyperfly gi’s but this one was disappointing. I really liked the gi out of the bag. The top fit great, was just a hair big, and was roomy. The pants felt great but were a little long. Figured I’d rectify that with shrinking them. I washed the pants separately from the top because I wanted to shrink the pants. Pants now fit perfect. The disappointing part happened when I washed the top. I washed the top once in a cold cycle and let the top air dry. It has now shrank so bad that I can’t wear it. I’ve never had a gi top shrink so bad from a cold wash/air dry, and I’ve been training 16 years. At least I can salvage the pants and wear them with other gi tops.

I struggle to find gis that fit properly and this one is nearly perfect. Can’t wait to train in it.

SHRINKAGE Warning!

Please please please listen to the advice of other reviews, this Hyperfly Procomp Lyte Void Gi will shrink WAY more than you expect it to. It does NOT shrink in the same manner that the previous Hyperlyte series does. It shrinks much more than you would expect from a normal Hyperfly Hyperlyte Gi. My Hyperlyte that I ordered a few years ago, shrank what I would consider a "normal" amount. With my previous purchase, I ordered a Long version (A3L), it shrank as I expected, and it was perfect. This one has a very similar stylish kind of cut as the Hyperlyte. So, I saw the warning on this Gi and expected the same amount of shrinkage from this one as my last Gi. I ordered an A4, since it should have the same length as the Hyperfly, and I assumed it would Shrink. But, I assumed it would shrink the same "normal" amount. That was unfortunately NOT the case. If you are reading this before ordering, understand that the sleeves on the Procomp Void Lyte will absolutely jump down at least 2 sizes if you wash and dry it in a standard fashion. Unfortunately there is no A4L that exists, and an A5 would be far too big in the torso and pants, so for me there is no recourse for a better fitting Gi from Hyperfly at this time. Which is sad, because I love the company and want to continue supporting it since it sponsors some of my favorite athletes.
