I started training In 2005 at the University of Oregon. My Dad and I had watched the early UFCs and he recommended I try Jiu-Jitsu, instead of Boxing. I was hooked after my first class.

I love teaching and sharing my experiences, especially with the youth classes. My wife and I run an academy together in our hometown of Salem, Oregon.

My biggest accomplishment is becoming the Adult Black Belt No-Gi World Champion.

A fun fact is I have 3 daughters, a 5 year old and identical twins who are almost 2.
