Inspired by our love of German Engineering and its precision, this is the JudoFly X Quattro. A Gi that is wholly in its own category. A hybrid of traditional Judo Gis and contemporary Jiu Jitsu Gis, featuring a 750 gsm pearl weave, the JudoFly X Quattro gives you the upper hand in any grip battle. The advantages of both disciplines unlock the ability for you to impose your will and spend less time getting tied up.

This gi is not IBJJF legal.

Specs

  • Jacket:
    • 750 gsm Pearl Weave
    • Double Diamond Weave skirt
    • Hyperfly shield embroidery on each arm
    • Traditional Judo back-seam for extra support
    • "You Can't Teach Heart" print inside the jacket (left-side)
    • Back shoulder Hyperfly embroidery
  • Pants: 10 oz cotton twill, Reinforced JJ workwear panels, Large Hyperfly embroidery on upper left leg, Plasti dipped internal drawstrings
  • Bag: large twill tote bag

Fit and sizing

JudoFly series gis fit larger than most other gis, and the heavy weave does not have a high shrink rate. If you are at the bottom of a size, we recommend going at least half a size down from your usual size (for example, if you are normally an A2, try an A1L). Because of the thick weave and heavy construction, loose threads may appear after the first wash. Sizes run A0 to A6 (men's and unisex) and F0 to F4 (women's), and several sizes also come in S (short) and L (long) lengths. Check our size chart before you order. This gi is not pre-shrunk. Wash cold and hang dry. See our gi care guide.

Which Hyperfly gi should I choose?

JudoFly gis are our heaviest, built for grip fighting, cold weather and durability. If you plan to compete under IBJJF rules, choose a competition gi instead. See all of our IBJJF legal gis, or compare every model in our gi model guide.

Always happy w my purchases

Always happy w my purchases. Bought this Gi thinking it would be similar to traditional judofly which is my favorite Gi. Was looking forward to it especially considering it had the same descriptors as the judofly. I was disappointed to see that the pants were of a totally weave and material.

I was super impressed with the fast shipping process as well, and I cannot wait to see him enjoy it. Overall, my experience was absolutely amazing, and I will definitely be ordering again!

Judufly is my favorite!

Fits with recommended going down half a size. Normally wear an A2, went with A1L. 59, 175 lbs. it is heavy though. I weighed it at 4.6lbs. So making it rough for me to maintain fighting weight! lol But I like the heavier gi. Solid and made well.

A2 JudoFly Quattro

Amazing Gi. Work of Art. Definitely a head turner, I am 59 195lbs athletic build. A2 fits fine after first wash, lots of room in the thighs, but thats fine for me. It is heavy but its does get cold here and it does help staying warm between rounds. Definitely not for a beginner but not for all advanced athletes.

Amazing Gi

Love this gi! I use it for my judo training.

Hyperfly gis are worth the hype. It’s an easy 5 stars for the quality. The waistband and drawstrings on the pants are amazing, and the gi top is much softer than a normal gi. This gi, despite being my heaviest gi, dries a lot faster than all of my other gis too when hung to dry. I’ve already gotten a few complaints for the gi being hard to grip.

That being said, the gi did take nearly two weeks to ship, and there was some confusing interaction with Hyperfly customer service.

Heavy

This is the heaviest of the hyperfly

Solid and Reliable

I enjoy this gi, the heavy material makes it harder for opponents to get grips and the cut makes it easy to pull your own lapel out for attacking. Little but shorter in torso for my build but overall a great gi.

Greatest Gi

A very well made Gi. I own a dozen of Gis and by far this is my favorite.

Judofly X Quattro Sunset

If Carhartt made a kimono, it would be a Judofly. Heed the warning about sizing, the gi will hardly shrink even if you hot wash and dry! Shout out to Nate Mendelsohn for the recommendation! Ossss!

Mixed Feelings at First

I weigh 260 and compete with the big guys. My bigger teammates and I consistently talk about grips and holding onto lapels. Because of that I did a lot of research on heavy/high GSM Gi's and came across the X Quattro Sunset. It is a 750 GSM Gi. When it first arrived, I was super hesitant to use it and not send it back right away because it was not as heavy nor was the lapel as thick/stiff as I thought it would be. I should add that I used to powerlift and I am told by my teammates that my grip is significantly stronger than most of my teammates. I asked a bunch of teammates and they all said it would be difficult for them to hold onto because the weave is 'rough' even though it is a comfortable material. As for the lapel was more of an issue than I thought it would initially. I decided to use it for class and I was pleasantly surprised at how hard it was for people to onto my Gi and how easy it was for me to break their grip. It is going to be my competition Gi for sure. I can't give it 5 stars due to my initial hesitancy, but absolutely 4 stars. I also recommend it to anyone looking for a Gi that wants to make grip an issue for opponents.

Tough gi!

Love this gi! Heavy weight makes a big difference with grappling and grips. A bit warm at times.

A great "armour"

First time wearing a heavyweight gi. It was hard to grip as told to me by my training partners. Even though the gi is heavy, it didn't restrict my mobility.

The JudoFly series is my favorite. I love heavy gis and JudoFlys dont disappoint. Hard to grip, fit like a suit, perfect for everyday training or competition.

Very nice!

I might not be able to tap out the upper belts yet but at least they compliment this fine Gi! Very well fitted at 62 and 180 lbs.

Favorite Gi

The weight takes a little adjusting but damn this is just a nice gi, favorite Ive had. Very comfortable and solid, love both the pants and jacket. Bummed that the sleeves have shrunk a bit more than my other hyperflys and I only hand dry the gi. Otherwise its holding up after 6+ months of use.

super thick and great for competition

this is my second judofly gi and they are great from competitions! they are harder to grip and that makes it hard for your opponent to use your gi against you

Great Product, Only disappointed I haven't bought it sooner.

Gi fits like it was tailored for me. Non restrictive, and well made. Can't say enough about the customer service and operations. Now awaiting for a restock of your Porrada

Beautiful gi, weird smell

This is a very high quality gi. You can see the quality a mile away!! Its so beautiful inside and out and I love how it fits. Although it did have a strong weird smell to it but I washed it twice. Once inside out and once right side out in cold water with a full cup of white vinegar, oxiclean and gain detergent each time and that took care of it. Other than the smell everything else was perfect. I was afraid the smell wouldnt come out but it did thankfully!
