Should have been my first new gii bought

News to BJJ, been doing it a little over a year, got my blue belt in Nov '24. I'm size A2 (5' 7", 210lbs) and my first go was a Sanabul Core that worked well but I shrank it too much in the wash. I wanted to treat myself to a new gi and got two other brands that work well but are not as nice fitting or feeling as the Merlot. The gi pants are the nicest feeling worn and to the touch. The Merlot has nice deep go string pockets to store loose strings once you've tied them. The jacket has really nice arm / shoulder space that I could immediately tell the difference when doing arm windmill warmups compared to the other gis. I'm just bummed I hadn't bought this one first as it was a game changer for me going forward. Thanks!

Do you have the actual dimensions of the Gis? It says I am A2s according to weight and height, but I prefer a A3 sanabul. So, I want to know the actual dimensions for comparison are for your Gis.

You recommended A1 sizing for my son. He is 5'8" weight 147. Will that account for shrinkage?

Hello Angela, Thank you for reaching out to us! In regards to your measurements, size A1 should be a good fit and allow for some growing/shrinking room. To refrain from any shrinkage, we would recommend a cold launder / hang dry. To shrink your item (approximately 1-3 inches), we would then recommend a hot wash / machine dry. Please feel free to email our team at orders@hyperfly.com with your sons wingspan (wrist to wrist), and leg measurement from hip bone to ankle bone.
