I started training Jiu Jitsu November of 2012 in Santa Cruz, CA at Claudio Franca BJJ. At 13 years of age, I quickly fell in love with this sport. For the first 4 years, Jitsu was a great way for me to gain discipline that would help me in other areas of life, like my schoolwork, making connections with people, and becoming more confident in myself. I also competed in every major kids/juvenile tournament. medaling in Pans/worlds as a white/blue belt.

At 18 years old during my senior year in high school, I knew I wanted Jiu Jitsu to be my life. During my salutatorian speech, I mentioned how I'd be taking a gap year from college to do Jiu Jitsu full time. Well, almost a decade later, looks like that gap year took a little longer than expected.

I trained and competed out of Santa Cruz for 4 years, then in 2020 moved to San Diego, CA to train at Legion AJJ under Keenan Cornelius. Today, I'm one of the head gi coaches at Legion and enjoy making an impact on people's lives through the art of Jiu Jitsu. I hope to continue to spread the good word of Jiu Jitsu and impact many through my art. I also have ambitions to continue winning competitions and showcase my Jiu Jitsu.
