I started training jiu jitsu in 2015. I was struggling a lot with my mental health at the time and thought doing MMA would help. I started jiu jitsu with the intention of learning it for MMA but after my first class, I was hooked. I fell in love with jiu jitsu and have trained pretty much every day since then!

My favorite part about jiu jitsu is its impact on my everyday life – the “jiu jitsu lifestyle” so to speak. It has made me very confident and very healthy both mentally and physically.

I’ve won adult gi and no gi Pan Ams, adult gi and no gi American Nationals, placed at adult worlds, and won Master Worlds. But the accomplishment I’m most proud of so far is winning adult brown belt Pan Ams this past year.

Fun fact about me: I’m a mama – I have a beautiful daughter, a dog, and a cat
