I started jiu jitsu in 2008. Back in that time, there were only a few women training jiu jitsu and I picked up the sport for fun initially. Little did I know that jiu jitsu would set my soul on fire and become such a big part of my life. I've been competing and teaching since 2015, with a short break in 2024 to focus on my pregnancy. My biggest accomplishments are growing my confidence and joy as a competitor and fostering an international women's jiu jitsu community through Jiu Jitsu Queenz. Jiu jitsu has taught me to work hard and push beyond my comfort zone. Most importantly it has taught me to respect and love myself, and that is something I wish for every person to experience.
