The Hyperlyte 3.5 Blackout is the all-black Hyperlyte: minimal, understated and ready for the mats.
The Hyperlyte 3.5 is our classic, well-loved lightweight competition gi, built for athletes who want a lightweight feel without sacrificing durability. It is made from 380gsm superfine woven cotton that is soft, breathable and tough enough for daily rounds, with clean stitching and a streamlined, minimal look. It is IBJJF and UAEJJF legal, so it works for hard training and high-level competition.

- Jacket: 380gsm superfine woven cotton, simplified shield patches on the arms, Icon stitching on the back, label on the front right, inside You Can't Teach Heart® print, EVA foam collar for structure and comfort
- Pants: 8oz twill, Icon stitch pattern, internal flat drawstring
- Approximate weight by size: A0 3.1 lbs, A2 3.4 lbs, A4 3.7 lbs
Note: this gi no longer comes with a drawstring bag.
Fit and sizing
The Hyperlyte has a relaxed fit. Adult sizes run A0 to A6 (men's and unisex) and F0 to F4 (women's), and several sizes also come in S (short) and L (long) lengths. Check our size chart before you order. This gi is not pre-shrunk. Wash cold and hang dry to stay close to the chart measurements. A warm wash or the dryer can shrink the jacket body, sleeves and pant length by up to 3 inches, so size up if you are between sizes. See our gi care guide.

The Hyperlyte 3.5 is our classic lightweight competition gi. For a lightweight competition gi with a simple, clean design, look at the Icon VI. My daughter is 57 and 160 pounds. The F4 fits her very well. She likes how lightweight and soft the gi is. The cantaloupe color is really sharp too. These are all my girls, but she is on the left.
I’ve tried 4 different Gi brands now and while all of them have pros and cons, hyperlyte is the only one without a con. I’m a stockier 5’10” and a A3s fits perfect. The pants feel almost tailored and the gi is super light. This will be the only brand I’m buying from now on.
The Gi is absolutely amazing. I love the gear. Great quality, very light weight and breathable. I am disappointed that the Gi bags are no longer being included. At least with the last three that i have purchased there has been no Gi bags. I had a similar situation with the Godzilla gi not having a gi bag but after reaching out to Hyperfly they advised me that there was a quality issue and a new bag would be sent. Much to my surprise they followed through amd their customer service was on point. Maybe something similar happened with the other bags but either way, you can’t take away from the quality of the Gi. I placed an order and returned it because it wasn't the right size—I had made a mistake. I requested a refund so I could reorder, but I never actually went through with it. Today, I received a package in the same size and saw that I hadn't been refunded; I just wanted a different size. They sent me another order without my consent, as I hadn't placed a new one.

Shrank even when washed in cold water and hang dried. I suggest sizing up 1 or 2 sizes.

He spent 12 hours over the 3 days in this and its all he wants to wear now. Yes we washed it everyday. It air drys quick enough and is softer than I thought it would be.

Love it! This is the first time I buy a gi that actually fits well! I got f3, and I m 169 cms and weigh 59 kiols, and it fit great. While the top is a bit on the bigger side, one or two washes will do the job well!
Love the colorthe red definitely stands out. Hyperlyte's cut and size are perfect, at least in my experience. Sorta molds to the body after wearing it in. It hasn't quite faded much after a couple of washes too.(Also, this together with the matrix green gi makes a sick pair!)

Kiddo absolutely loves his starlyte gis. For every comp. But ibjjf So we got this one. The fit was perfect and just like the other ones with a slim cut (not baggy) and supet light..and he can finally have a gi he can wear for IBJJF!
