Born From a 99-Cent Can
Everyone who grew up pulling a tall boy AriZona out of a gas station cooler remembers the price. Ninety-nine cents, no matter the year. That can never be changed. Same artwork, same size, same price stuck to the side like a promise. It became a classic without ever trying to be one.
That is the idea behind this collab. We wanted to build something that felt the same way, solid and familiar, the kind of piece you keep in rotation for years instead of one season. Staying classic did not mean playing it safe. It meant respecting a design that already works and only touching what needed to change.
Behind the Scenes in New Jersey
You don’t just slap two logos on a gi and call it a day. To do this collab right, the Hyperfly crew packed their bags and flew out to the AriZona Beverage factory in New Jersey to see how an idea gets from the conference room into the bottle. We walked the line, watched the cans fill, and taste-tested samples straight off the conveyor.
But we didn’t just go for the free tea and hairnets. While we were there, we literally rolled out our custom Hyperfly + AriZona jiu-jitsu mats inside their headquarters. Yes, we were taking each other down surrounded by the iconic cherry blossom trees on the property. Shooting the collection in the birthplace of the Green Tea wasn’t just a flex, it made the whole drop feel visceral. No green screens, no faking it. Just raw inspiration straight from the source.

What's in the Collection
Cherry Blossom Gi — a teal Gi with pink cherry blossom embroidery, an inner jacket pocket, and pant pockets, built for wear on and off the mats.
White Comp Legal Gi — a comp-legal Gi in the classic tribal Arizona pattern, built for competition.
Rash Guard and Shorts — a cherry blossom print no-gi set, available as a $99 bundle.
Mouthguards — two colorways to match the collection.
Tee — rounding out the drop for anyone repping the collab off the mats.
Design Spotlight: The White "Lemon Tea" Comp Gi
We built this one specifically for competition while still holding true to the many details on the classic lemon tea can. From the side V-cuts to the tape liner, every detail was dialed in custom for this piece; colors matched exactly to the artwork while keeping full comp-legal status.
Jacket: 450gsm pearl weave with a front and back woven patch carrying the original Arizona artwork, pattern mesh on the cuffs, and a sublimated mesh liner inside the jacket sized precisely to the reinforced areas. Even the neck label was custom made to resemble the original can.
Pants: 10oz cotton twill with the Arizona pattern stitched on both legs, a sublimated mesh liner on the back of the pants, custom bungee cords in Arizona's pantones, and custom Arizona x Hyperfly branding throughout.
Draw cord bag: finished with the pattern of the classic lemon tea can alongside Hyperfly and YCTH branding.
Design Spotlight: The Cherry Blossom "Green Tea" Gi
The Cherry Blossom Gi took the concept even further. Modeled after the can in that famous teal known around the world, it would be a shame to only use this on the mats, which is why we designed this kimono to be worn on and off the mats.
Jacket: 275gsm star weave with a sublimated liner, large detailed embroideries of the classic green tea artwork with cherry blossoms in that iconic teal colorway, and a fully sublimated mesh liner carrying the same cherry blossom pattern for comfort. The jacket features detachable cords so it closes up and wears just like a regular jacket, with 2 added hidden internal pockets.
Pants: 8oz ripstop built for comfort and durability, the iconic green tea colorway, classic cherry blossom embroideries on both thighs, and 2 hidden pockets with zippers for everyday wear.
Please zip the pockets closed before you roll.
Backpack: finished in the green tea colorway with 2 side pockets sized to hold the iced tea tall can and an internal sublimated pattern liner.
Full Circle
In the end, this collab keeps bringing us back to being a kid with five dollars in your pocket, feeling like a king with a tall can and a candy bar on a hot day. That is the feeling we wanted to bottle up in a Jiu Jitsu collection: nostalgia done right, built to last just like the can that inspired it.
