The Junior Icon VI brings the Icon VI to young grapplers. Fewer labels. Fewer embroideries. Less weight. It is built on the Icon cut with a Hyperlyte-inspired weave and 7oz ripstop pants, so it stays light without losing structure.

Specs

Jacket: 380 gsm pearl weave, Icon embroidery on each arm, three-piece construction, EVA foam collar
Pants: 7oz ripstop, bungee cord external drawstring, 6 point loop system

Note: this gi no longer comes with a drawstring bag.

Fit and sizing

Junior sizes run J0 to J8. Kids grow, so check the size chart and size up if your child is between sizes. Check our size chart before you order. This gi is not pre-shrunk. Wash cold and hang dry to stay close to the chart measurements. A warm wash or the dryer can shrink the jacket body, sleeves and pant length by up to 3 inches, so size up if you are between sizes. Which Hyperfly gi should I choose?

The Junior Icon VI is our lightweight competition gi with a simple, clean design, in junior sizes. For a classic lightweight competition gi, look at the Hyperlyte 3.5. For a lightweight, fitted competition gi, see the ProComp Lyte. For hot weather and travel, the Starlyte is our ultra light training gi (training only, not IBJJF legal). coming back to this after 10 year hiatus

I purchased my last gi about 10 years ago. Took a 10 year hiatus and coming back to BJJ. Ordered this one. It shrinks, but that's OK. If you have long arms, but not A2L enough, a couple of runs in the drying machine left this gi to fit me like a tuxedo (sharrrp). Pants didn't shrink but are nice rip stop fabric which I will just modify no sweat. A little bit on the expensive side (similar to Gold Gis) and would encourage hypefly to work with retailers to increase reach and make it easier to order.

Hyperfly Core Belt - A2 Purple

This belt is made from quality material. If you want something inexpensive thats going to hold up to hard rolls, this seems to be a good choice. Ive only trained with it 5 times as of now but so far so good. My only complaint is that it is a little bluer than the photos online make it look. It seems to look more purple e more I use it tho.

First Gi!

This is my first Gi. And I see no reasons to ever go with another brand. Great quality and price.

Super Light - Great for comp

I realized straight away just how light this gi is when opening the package. It'll be good to have if someone is floating around the limit of their weight class.

Great Belt

Great belt, sturdy but not too firm. Color is also a nice solid blue, not too bright and not too light.

Wish they were a hit more durable

Im on my third Icon and the start to tear out around the lapel and shoulder seems. Im lucky to get a full year out of them wearing 2-3 times a week.

Disappointing QC

Fits well, doesnt shrink in the wash and well made. Not sure if I got a bad one or is common for this model but after one use and wash the lapels have faded green as the blue dye washed out. In just a few uses and washes it looks years old. Compared to the ProCompLyte the blue is so vivid and vibrant. And after a lot of use it still looks brand new. Given the price Id recommend the ProCompLyte over the Icon V. Also the ProCompLyte has a better over all streamlined cut to it.

Best in the Market

The type of fabric is excellent the knot keeps firm and does not fall apart easily when rolling with the opponents. The customer service department is the best. I completely recommend this brand for all types of clothing.
