The Junior Starlyte II is our previous-generation ultra light training gi in junior sizes. It is available in Black, White and Royal Blue.
The Junior Starlyte II is the absolute lightest gi around, made even better: extremely soft, breathable and comfortable, easy to pack for travel, and quick to dry. It has added reinforcement in both the jacket and the pant sleeves, which makes it a tough, extra-light gi for training. Training gi only: Starlyte is not legal for IBJJF or UAEJJF competition.

- Jacket: 275 gsm Star weave, spectrum tape inside the jacket and cuffs, reinforced 4 inch 10 stitch pearl weave layer inside the sleeves for stronger grip breaking, higher and more dynamic skirt line with an edgier cut, one-piece construction with no back seam, heavy reinforced stitching, no YCTH print inside
- Pants: 8 oz ripstop, internal flat drawstring on sizes Junior 3 to 8 and an elastic band on sizes Junior 0 to 2, spectrum tape inside the cuffs, reinforced 4 inch 10 stitch pearl weave layer
Fit and sizing
Junior sizes run J0 to J8. Kids grow, so check the size chart and size up if your child is between sizes. Starlyte is not pre-shrunk but has a very low shrink rate. Wash cold and hang dry. See our gi care guide.

Kiddo absolutes loves his Hyperfly gis! These never get left behind on competition day! They are lightweight, breathable amd have a great fit! He practically lives in these and each tournament isn't a choice of which gi to wear, but which color Hyperfly will match together with his nogi choice for a particular comp! Perfect for skinny tall kids because of the slimmer cut and fit!
The hyperlyre gis are, hands down, kiddos FAVORITE gi for both training and for conpetitions! They are light weight and breathable and hold up well to hars training! And they have a slimmer cut than most other gis which is great for the stringbean who is tall and skinny and other gi brands are just too baggy. This is the go-to gi in our little competitors BJJ wardrobe!
Gi's sleeves were too long, and overall fit was too tight. Kid got this as a birthday gift and couldn't even bend down with the pants on and Hyperfly woudn't refund the order or exchange it. We had to give away the gi to someone who was 6 lbs lighter. Kid is 50" tall and weighs 55 lbs.
Decent gi.
I bought these pants to go with a gi I bought from a different company because I think Starlyte pants are the most comfortable gi pants in the world. I especially like the flat shoelace-style drawstring. It stays tied better and doesn't let my pants sag like the round cord drawstrings do.

I like how lightweight the gi is. The look is nice and you can tell it is good quality. The problem I have with it is the fit. With the amount of material and dimensions, it appears to be made for a 5’5” tall man that weighs 400lbs. Being I am a 6’4” 225lbs man, the sleeve length is about 2 to 3” too short but I can wrap the body around me twice. The pants are the same 2 to 3” too short and when tied like a shoe string, the draw string hangs down to my knees. I wish they made an A4 long or something to help with the size disparity.

5’11 150 fits perfect. Awsome colors. I do wish the pants were that super soft fabric they have on some of their other ones but its nice.
This gi is great! It looks sharp and fits me really well. I'm 5'11" ~175lb with a fairly average build and went with the A1L as recommended. I look forward to rolling in this gi for a good while.
Perfect fit for my little man, luckily. The sizing chart was very confusing for kids sizes and in my opinion, wring. But, we luckily ordered the right one and it fits perfectly.

Ordered A3S because i had to hem the pants on an A3 in the past. This fits tighter even though the size chart gives lits it 175-240 lbs. Advize ordering the A3 and hem as needed.
This is a great Gi. super light for hot training, looks good. minimal initial shrinkage (i always wash in warm water and put in dryer on high heat for over an hour). So far so good.
The gi was awesome. Just as described. I went with the size that was recommended by the web site. It was too short and tight across my shoulders. I wish I ordered the a3 like I normally do.

I was skeptical about the star-weave fabric at first, but it's incredibly comfortable. It air-dries in under 12 hours. It's lightweight so I don't overheat wearing it. As always, Hyperfly delivers!
I like the gi. Fits well and it's light. I really dislike the drawstring. I prefer the stretch tube style. This is a large, flat shoelace style. Pants don't stay on with this type.
Was skeptical about ordering a female size for my pre teen son, but their sizing recommendation was spot on. The quality is next level and we get compliments on them every time we roll.
I got the F4 and I am 5ft 10 in and 170 pounds. This is my first gi and it fits well. This style is very light and it dries very quickly. No opinion on quality yet as I have only worn it twice so far.
We bought the gi size based on my child's size per the gi chart. It was definitely larger than expected. Hoping a wash or two will shrink it as needed. But veeery light and comfortable.
