The ancestor of the modern Jiu Jitsu Gi is the traditional Judo Kimono. Our original Judofly design pays homage to this - blending tradition and innovation.

Not IBJJF legal. The elbow and knee reinforcements make this gi illegal for competition.

Fit and sizing

JudoFly series gis fit larger than most other gis, and the heavy weave does not have a high shrink rate. If you are at the bottom of a size, we recommend going at least half a size down from your usual size (for example, if you are normally an A2, try an A1L). Because of the thick weave and heavy construction, loose threads may appear after the first wash. Sizes run A0 to A6 (men's and unisex) and F0 to F4 (women's), and several sizes also come in S (short) and L (long) lengths. Check our size chart before you order. This gi is not pre-shrunk. Wash cold and hang dry. See our gi care guide.

Which Hyperfly gi should I choose?

JudoFly gis are our heaviest, built for grip fighting, cold weather and durability. If you plan to compete under IBJJF rules, choose a competition gi instead. See all of our IBJJF legal gis, or compare every model in our gi model guide.

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of receipt. See our returns and exchanges page.

Well Crafted Gi

Such a beautiful and well crafted gi! The color is unique, and love the pops of orange. The top has a nice amount of weight to it as well but not overwhelming.

Well Built!

This is a Gi I feel will last a lifetime. The thing is awesome. They should make this Gi in every color and dominate the mats.

I wish they keep making this armor like gi.

Awesome. The gi bag is cool with judo sashiko pattern and the quality of the gi is outstanding. Those who want to roll hard, this is the one for you.

Once again a great gi

This is the 5th of this style of Judofly I've gotten. This green is really sharp looking and the heavy weight weave is great to annoy training partners.

This gi is master piece.

I've been using judofly gis since the q.0 version was released and this version is the beat. Subtle color looks great with strong durability. Love hyperfly's Gi quality and specs

Form Over Function

Love the Judofly from a design standpoint. Its the flyest gi on the mat 10/10 times. I own three of them - 1 v2, 2 v3 (this batch). I got a decent amount of use (by my definition, decent is not a lot) out of my v2 before the elbow patch started to fray. Reached out to Hyperfly for recommendations on how to address and heard crickets. Took it by a local seamstress and he quoted me $60 to fix. And were it a 1x cost, Id opt for it. But the elbow patches have started to fray in 2 other places, which makes efforts to keep it in working order futile. All that said, would love if Hyperfly offered a repair/refix program for times like this - where the useful life of a garment is cut short by design pitfalls. Anyone else run into similar issues? How are you solving for?

I am extremely satisfied with the products from Hyperfly Judofly. The quality is outstanding, and the fit is perfect, as if the garments were tailor-made. I feel very comfortable in the clothing and am very happy with the fast delivery. I can wholeheartedly recommend Hyperfly Judofly!

Great Gi, Ok Shipping

The quality and feel of this Gi is excellent. It is very heavy so be aware of that. It took a long time to process the shipping and it was delivered to the wrong address.

Worth the wait!

Missed out on the dark side white Judofly and was able to get the blue indigo. The color is even better in person! I'm 6'3" 250lbs athletic build the A3 fits perfect out the bag! Very soft material both kimono and pants. The weight is perfect no too heavy not too light! Excellent gi

very good to heavy gi lovers

i have three judofly x gis and this is my first time judofly gi. so reinfored pads for elbows and knees are a little awkward but not a big problem. i feel lastest gi collar is more soft than past. it is heavy gi but soft and not disturb my movement .

Variety

Hyperfly owns both the lightest and heaviest gi in my closet. Even tho its thick, it feels great while rolling. The green color def catches the eye.

Quality Heavy Gi

Gi does run large and an A1L was spot on for me at 61 and 180 lbs. Had a small issue that Hyperfly quickly resolved. Highly recommend.

My favorite style of Hyperfly Gi

Absolutely love these gis and glad they keep making this variation of it without changing anything. I have the original white and red from 2020 and the black one. Great on cold days and when you want to get an extra sweat in. This new indigo one looks great and I'll probably end up getting the green too.

Perfect Kimono

I have purchased JudoFly Darkside, it is available only in US shop. DHL express shipping to Berlin took just about 5 days. This kimono is just beautiful. So if you care about perfection - just do not wash it or use it. Put it on a hanger and just enjoy the beauty. After the first wash at 40 degrees celsium and machine drying ( i do not follow advices ) it shrank just about a centimeter. Next washes do not have impact on shrinkage. Like promised by hyperfly - it is wider and fits larger than most kimono, so if you are a slim guy, or get the regular size - you will look like a baby in it. If you are a medium fit guy, it is a perfect kimono. It ships in a black bag made of same material as kimono itself - it should better be white, because it is inconvenient to wash a bag and kimono together. A lot of stitches got loose after the wash, but that was expected. It waits around 2-3 kilograms ( 2 times havier than my Progress 450 gsm kimono). It feels like an armor. Sleeves are very hard to grab, so it feels a bit like cheating, imposing responsibility to be even more respectful to your roll partner. It is not IBJJF legal (patches and sleeve reinforcement) , so just for rolling in your gym. I think regular JudoFly is ok for competition.

Reinforcement in knees

Overall great gi. Just wish the reinforcement in the knee area was more on the knees rather than being placed above the knee.

Very nice quality but very heavy.

I had my eye on this gi for several months and finally decided to buy. I love the design and the construction is very good. I removed the elbow and knee patches to reduce some weight. It is very heavy and a little hotter than my other gis.

Poor quality

Wanted a gi that would last, arrived with a hole in the pants. I don't recommend hyperfly products.

One of my favorite gis.

Was waiting for this one to go on sale and it did. Love this gi. Training partners grips get all tired and I just laugh at their poor decisions to grip up with the judofly.
